MarketStar Student Resource Center

Founded in 2020 and officially opened in 2021, the MarketStar Student Resource Center is the result of a collaborative effort between the MarketStar Foundation, Ogden School Foundation, Ogden School District, Catholic Community Services, and United Way of Northern Utah to help provide immediate short-term support of school supplies, food, clothing, and household and hygiene item for all Ogden School District students and their families in need. Housed in a permanent district location, school counselors and staff use an online ordering system to notify the center of an immediate need in their school and items are then delivered to the school, ensuring they are received by the student or family. There are no requirements that must be met; any student with an identified or perceived need may receive support through the MSRC. With one centralized location, the MSRC staff is able to keep an inventory of the items in greatest demand to help our stakeholders better understand the needs of our community and respond accordingly. The MSRC is a vital lifeline for many of our Ogden School District families.
