Teacher of the Year with Young Mazda

Friday, May 1 was an exciting day at Mount Ogden Junior High as 7th grade math teacher Rob Bennington headed outside for what he believed was a routine evacuation drill, only to discover he was being named the Ogden School District Teacher of the Year! The surprises continued as a fire truck parked alongside local first responders pulled away to reveal a brand new Mazda CX-5, gifted as a one-year lease through the generosity of Young Mazda and the Young Caring For Our Young Foundation. This marks the fourth consecutive year they have provided a vehicle to the district’s Teacher of the Year recipient, which includes insurance provided by Goldenwest Credit Union and a gas card.

Cheered on by students, fellow educators, and the OHS Drum Line, Mr. Bennington was congratulated by Young Mazda General Manager Ryan Albert, who shared his appreciation for the dedication Mr. Bennington and educators across the district show their students each day.

We are so grateful for our partnership with the Young Automotive Group and their continued commitment to recognizing the extraordinary impact our educators make in the lives of students and families throughout our community.

Congratulations, Mr. Bennington! Enjoy your new ride!
