As part of our 2026 Fall Author Event featuring award-winning author Ann Patchett, we're inviting all Ogden School District students in grades 10-12 to participate in our annual Student Writing Contest.
This year's theme, "These Precious Days," challenges students to reflect on a disappointment, failure, or unexpected obstacle that changed the way they saw the world and helped shape the person they are becoming.
Ten winning writers will be recognized at our Fall Author Event in October, meet Ann Patchett personally, and receive a $100 prize. Entries are due Friday, September 18.
